Q&A

1. What was your inspiration to start a baseball series?

I love baseball and it only made sense that I’d write a series.

2. How much research went into writing Third Base?

A lot, but not as much as other novels. Most of the research was watching games and

visiting Fenway Park so I could get the stadium down for the story.

3. When you're not writing do you try to catch a baseball game and who are you rooting for?

I try to go to a new stadium every year. My dad and I are in a competition to see who

can go to more. We have a map that keeps track for us.

I’m a Red Sox and Astros fan.

4. How many books do you anticipate in the series?

Right now, only three.

5. Before you go do you have a favorite part from Third Base?

Anything with Shea. I love her character. Or when Ethan takes Grandpa John to the Mets

game.

Heidi does it once again hitting a grand slam with the first in her new Boys of Summer series. I truly believe no matter what type of story Heidi writes it will be amazing; sexy rockers, hot athletes, young cowboys or men in uniform her writing has no boundaries.

Her books are never short of a great story with real characters and real feelings. Third Base with pull you in with a mix of baseball and love. It’s not short of love and loss, twists and turns and sexy baseball players.
