New Reviews - Turn of the Moon & Resisting the Moon by LP Dover

Turn of the Moon
by L.P. Dover
Released: August 24,2015

One girl. Two wolves. Promised to one. Destined for the other.

To escape the cruel, overbearing, Kade, the Yukon Pack alpha she’s been promised to, Bailey Whitehill flees her home in search of a new life, one of freedom where she can make her own choices. However, Kade will stop at nothing to make her his and begins the hunt.

As Bailey starts her new life, everything she’s known to be true, is not. Time is of the essence and choices have to be made or consequences suffered. Not only does Bailey fear Kade, but another danger lurks deep in the recesses of the forest. Unbeknownst to her, that danger is what she’s been searching for all along. At the turn of the moon, her fate hangs in the balance . . . and it’s up to her to make the right choice.

As of late I’ve shied away from the paranormal genre. There have been few stories that have kept my interest and attention. Oh am I so glad I took a chance and started  Turn of the Moon. I couldn’t get enough of this story.  I devoured this book  in one sitting and that hasn’t happened in a while.

Leslie pulled me into a world of alpha wolves and true mates where super powers and full moons were the norm. It was suspenseful and sexy, keeping me on edge from beginning to end.

Bailey was badass and not your typical shy heroine. She was strong, independent and knew what she did and didn’t want and wasn’t going to let any male control her. Ryker was your typical sexy alpha male that liked control and went after what he wanted. Two alphas meant for one kickass story.

I look forward to delving more into the Royal Shifters and learning more of this characters. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

Resisting the Moon
by L.P. Dover
Released: December 17, 2015

The past was pain. The present unclear. For Tyla Rand, her future couldn't be bleaker. Death follows her everywhere, especially to those she loves. Being a member of the royal pack, she believes her time of happiness will come. That is, until wolves from her old pack show up missing. Her mission is to find them, but she won't be going alone.

Sebastian Lyall, a true born royal and the one man Tyla's been trying to push away, has offered to help in her quest. Their journey not only brings out their true desires, but attracts the attention of another, someone from Tyla's past.

However, nothing is as it seems. Death is not done with her and now he wants her to pay. He won't be satisfied until he's taken everything away . . . including those she loves.

Once again Leslie pulled me into the this  mysterious world where true mates are stubborn and  loyal. Where attraction is hard to hold back but controlled at the same time. Where you find you other half and protect them at all costs.

Tyla and Sebastian know they are true mates but Tyla is resisting. Her past is holding her back to truly experience happiness. Sebastian is ready and can hold back only for so long until Tyla needs to make a choice or risk losing him forever. When danger comes looking for Tyla, Sebastian will stop at nothing to protect his mate. They will fight to protect each other and end the war against their pack once and for all.

This story is full of angst, suspense, danger and steamy nights. With each page you’ll need to know more of the secrets and history of these shifters. You’ll be on the edge wanting to know what will happen next. You’ll need a cold shower reading those sexy times. You won’t want to put it down till your done.

This can be read as a stand alone but why would you? To get the full experience I suggest reading Turn the Moon first. I really hope there is more to come of the Royal Shifters as there are so many more characters and adventures L.P. can explore.
