Unraveled:
To become undone.
To take apart.
To destroy.

I thought I had it all with my well-respected job, Hollywood boyfriend, and glamorous lifestyle. Until the truth revealed a different story. In one day, after a single word, my carefully constructed life was obliterated.

But it’s only the beginning of my spiral. There’s much further to fall.

Then I meet him. He's the perfect man at the most imperfect time. It's only meant to be a one night stand. A last fling before my new reality sets in. But he has different ideas. Because he doesn’t know the truth. Once he finds out, I'm convinced he’ll realize this is too much for a new relationship. He’s sure to cut and run. It's for the best really.

After all, how can I possibly fall in love when I’m falling apart?

Blurb:
Everything in my life has changed.
This woman, my paid companion, has turned my world upside down
… while making it right for the first time ever.

We were brought together by need.
Hers was money.
Mine was companionship. And sex.

Caitriona Louden gave me the girlfriend experience.
All of it.
And now she’s gone.

I’m not supposed to miss her.
I’m not supposed to love her.
But I do. Both.

Our contract expired, and she walked away.
Now my world is falling apart without her in it.
Because she is my everything.

A fairy-tale romance.
It’s ours to have.
And this woman I’ve come to love so dearly is my beautiful ever after.
Excerpt:
I open my office door and the woman is sitting in one of the chairs facing my desk. My eyes are drawn to the back of her long straight blond hair and my first thought is that it’s Cora. But then I remember that Cora’s hair isn’t that long. Or platinum blond.

“My apologies, Miss Morata. I’m sorry to keep you waiting.”

“Being made to wait implies that your time is more important than mine. And I assure you that my time is very important. And expensive. Ask any of my clients and they’ll tell you so.”

Her accent is strange. Is she faking a Scottish burr?

“I assure you I’m not under the impression that your time is less important than mine or anyone else’s.” I come around the chair and offer my hand. “It’s a pleasure to make your acquaint—.”

Green-brown hazel eyes. Long lashes. Nose adorned with a few scattered freckles.
Perfect. Red. Lips.

My wife.

My wife wearing a platinum blond wig?

Beautiful Ever After was everything I had hoped for in the conclusion to the duet!!  While I had hoped for a sweeter and more romantic reunion between Cait & Hutch, tragedy and heartbreak end up bringing them back together.  But, I think going through that only brought them closer together and solidified their relationship.  It wasn't fake - it was real, and they were going to fight through whatever obstacles came their way (which was pretty much only Blair, who totally got what was coming to her).  Absolutely loved the connection to the Sin trilogy, and the appearances from those characters that we haven't seen in awhile.  Those scenes were wonderful and I loved how they immediately welcomed Cait into the mix with open arms.
And the epilogue - absolutely perfect!  Couldn't have asked for a better ending for these two!!

Release Blitz & Review: The Perfect First by Maya Hughes

Title: The Perfect First
Author: Maya Hughes
Genre: New Adult Romance
Cover Design: Najla Qamber, Qamber Designs
Release Date: April 25, 2019
BLURB

“How long do you last in bed?” Those were her first words to me, swiftly followed up with, “And how big would you say you are?”

Cue the record scratching, what?!

Persephone Alexander. Math genius. Lover of blazers. The only girl I know who can make Heidi braids look sexy as hell. And she’s on a mission. Lose her virginity by the end of the semester.

I walked in on her interview session for potential candidates (who even does that?) and saw straight through her brave front. She’s got a list of Firsts to accomplish like she’s only got months to live. I’ve decided to be her guide for all her firsts except one. Someone’s got to keep her out of trouble. I have one rule, no sex. We even shook on it.

I’ll help her find the right guy for the job. Someone like her doesn’t need someone like me and my massive...baggage for her first time.

Drinking at a bar. Check.

Partying all night. Double check.

Skinny dipping. Triple check.

She’s unlike anyone I’ve ever met. The walls I’d put up around my heart are slowly crumbling with each touch that sets fire to my soul.

I’m the first to bend the rules. One electrifying kiss changes everything and suddenly I don’t want to be her first, I want to be her only. But her plan was written before I came onto the scene and now I’m determined to get her to re-write her future with me.

If there was any case of the right place, wrong person...….Reece sitting down at Seph's table in that coffee shop sure was it.  Turned out to be the best mistake of his life.

Watching the unlikely friendship and relationship develop between football star Reece and quirky & nerdy Persephone (also known as Seph) was so much fun.  They couldn't have been more opposite, but Reece saw something in her that drew him to her.  And it wasn't your typical nerd / jock story - it really was so much more than that.  I'm glad they didn't rush into her "devirginizing" so quickly, as I think when they finally were together, it was special - truly, it couldn't have been more perfect.  And for someone who has never had any real friends in her life, for Seph to be welcomed and wholly accepted by the guys on Reece's team - absolutely loved it!

All of the secondary in the characters - Nix, LJ, Berk, Marisa - they all made this story even more memorable and I cannot wait to go back and spend more time at Fulton University!
