Review ~ Stroked by Meghan Quinn

STROKED by Meghan Quinn
Scheduled to release: July 20, 2016
NA Romantic Comedy

BLURB:
Reese King: Olympic medalist, underwear model, Greek god.

His body is chiseled from rock, sculpted by the weight room, and refined by water.

On a daily basis his skin is completely bare for everyone to see, tan and defined, only covered up by a minuscule piece of spandex. There is no denying his sex appeal.

I hate to admit it, but I’m head over heels infatuated with him.

There is one HUGE problem though. His achingly gorgeous abs, inked up arm, and cocky swagger belong to my boss, the high-profile, reality star bitch from hell and certified heinous human being, Bellini Chambers.

What I think is going to be an easy job assisting a glorified wench turns into a cluster f*ck of epic proportions.

Who doesn't want to read a book about a hot swimmer?!?!

I enjoyed the humor and lightheartedness of the story. Meghan Quinn knows how to do humor and do it right. I was laughing out loud while reading some of the things coming out of Bellini's mouth.

There's more to Reese than just his swim career and portrayed persona. His heart and true character shine while he's pursuing Paisley.

Poor Paisley is hired as personal assistant to Bellini. When you make one mistake in the film industry you have to start back at the bottom.

Bellini is the worst character ever. Someone needs to knock her down a level or five. She thinks she's better than everyone now that her life is on TV but she's not. Her nose is so high in the air she can't smell her own stink. I wouldn't wish working for her on my own worst enemy, actually I might.

This story was great and I look forward to what the rest of the series has in store for us.

This was such a great story. It was lighthearted, sexy and laugh-out-loud funny. This was my first Meghan Quinn book and I was pleasantly surprised. The characters were engaging and funny. The story was fun and sexy. It was an all around cute book.

I felt Paisley & Reese’s connection from the beginning. Their secret rendezvous’ were sexy and hot. You could feel the chemistry  come alive every time they were in the same room. Their banter was cute and fun.

Bellini was a b**ch of epic proportions. It was fun to see what new outrageous thing came out of her mouth. I really wanted to throat punch her. She really was that heinous.

All the secondary characters were even entertaining and fun. I loved the interactions with Jonathan and Paisley and especially with Reese and Hollis. They were light and fun and most of the time over the top.

I loved this book and can’t wait to read more from Meghan. I’m really hoping the next book has a silent, brooding swimmer in it. He has a mystery about him I want to uncover.

About the Author:

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if "It's Raining Men" starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing... enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
