Blade McCormick is not a nice guy.

He’s pure adrenaline and smells like smoke and leather—the kind of guy you look at and know he’s going to be a combination of nasty and irresistible. The moment I allowed myself to touch his hot skin and kiss his full lips, I. Was. Done.

Like currency, I’ve become part of a transaction. Blade took me to pay off a debt. I try to tell myself, Eve, you should hate him. He’s a bad guy. But then again, I’m not a good girl. Blade’s the president of the Disciples, the notorious motorcycle club. I should be frightened, yet somehow, he doesn’t scare me. If anything, I think I scare him.

It takes a lot of work to become the club’s Queen, but I’ll stop at nothing to have the King!

I love a good MC series, and Cassandra Robbins' Disciples crew has really got me intrigued.  Lethal started this new series off to a promising start with Blade & Eve's forbidden romance!

Blade is the president of the Disciples Crew, who takes Eve as payment from her father for a debt owed to him.  Even though she was quite young, Blade was instantly attracted to her.....and it was apparent from the start that there was something different about the way Blade treated Eve.  He was a major alpha male, but with her he really showed her his soft side, and allowed her to see beyond the cut.

Eve......she was such a spitfire!  Grew up quickly because of the life her family lived - she knew the rules of the streets and didn't take crap from anyone.  She was the perfect match for Blade, as she gave it to him as good as he gave her.  They had crazy insane chemistry and I thought their relationship really worked, despite their rocky start.

My only real issue within the story was Eve's age.  In the prologue, it's mentioned something about her 18th birthday.....then the next chapter started out saying 2 years earlier, which would leave me to believe that she's sixteen.  It's mentioned once, then unless I missed something (which if I did....I'm sorry)saying there was a jump forward, she was back to eighteen.  For me, that thought just stuck in the back of my mind and I couldn't get past that (which is why I rated the story just under 4 stars).

Regardless of that issue, I really did enjoy the story.  It won't keep me from reading more of this series, as there are definitely some stories and characters that I'm really looking forward to!
